Women's Tennis to face Missouri Western in Fort Smith

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State Women's Tennis will head indoors for the second time this spring where they will face Missouri Western for a MIAA tilt on Saturday.

The RiverHawks (3-7, 1-0 MIAA) opened Association action with a 6-1 victory last week over UA-Fort Smith and will face a Griffons team that has opened MIAA play with two consecutive losses.  Missouri Western (3-6) will see Fort Smith on Friday before meeting NSU.

Following a ranked win over Harding, Tegan Heaton has moved into the No. 62 spot on the ITA singles national rankings in NCAA Division II and holds a 4-2 overall record on the top court.

Saturday will be NSU's third neutral site match of the season, playing contests in Edmond and San Angelo, Texas.

Northeastern State leads the overall series 14-6 over the Griffons but has lost six in a row.

First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at The Hangout tennis center.
