TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State scattered four hits as Northwest Missouri shut out the RiverHawks, 10-0, in seven innings to claim a series win Monday at Rousey Field.
Finley Bunch collected two hits, and Gage Williams recorded the team's lone extra-base hit as Northeastern State fell to 11-24 overall and 8-13 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA).
Northwest Missouri (17-17, 11-10 MIAA) scored two runs in the opening inning and added eight more over the final three frames. The Bearcats tallied five doubles and took advantage of eight RiverHawks pitchers.
Alex Khan (0-1), making his first start of the season, recorded one out and was charged with the loss.
The RiverHawks remain at home for a midweek MIAA contest against Central Oklahoma at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
