Heaton Named ITA Central Region's Most Improved Player

TEMPE, Ariz. - Northeastern State's Tegan Heaton earned another postseason accolade Monday, being named the Division II Central Region's Most Improved Player by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Heaton finished the regular season ranked No. 49 nationally in singles, recording 11 wins while playing in the top two spots for NSU. The senior was also a recent All-MIAA First Team selection and notched three victories over ranked opponents.

Last season, Heaton tallied seven singles wins, primarily competing in the bottom three spots of the lineup.
