TAHLEQUAH - Lakes Country 102.1 FM will continue to serve as the Official Radio Partner of Northeastern State University Athletics for the 2025-26 season, announced Thursday. Located in Tahlequah, Lakes Country has a listener base spanning Green Country, including Muskogee, Fort Gibson, Stilwell, Wagoner, Westville, and Locust Grove.
"It's been a huge blessing to get Lakes Country back involved with NSU athletics," Director of Athletics
John Sisemore said of the partnership, "They really help keep us connected to our local community and surrounding supporters."
"It's a partnership that benefits both, as our success really is reliant on local support. Lakes Country helps us tell our story and connect to those individuals and businesses that mean so much."
The "Voice of the RiverHawks" Orry Phillips will be on the call for all NSU football and men's and women's basketball games. Both members of the RiverHawks Sports Nest will serve as color analysts for the season. DJ Shawn Solo will join Phillips to call the action on home football games, while Captain
William Morgan will return as the primary road color analyst for football and basketball.
In addition to airing every football game and most men's and women's basketball contests, weekly coaches shows in the forms of The
Darrin Chiaverini Show for football and The NSU Basketball Coaches Show return to the airwaves for a second season. The
Darrin Chiaverini Show will premiere on Friday, Aug. 22, and will air Friday nights on Lakes Country.
Partnership opportunities are available for a full season or a single game, and can fit within any marketing budget. For those interested, please contact
