Cassidy Bowen set for introductory appearance on RiverHawks Sports Nest

TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State head softball coach Cassidy Bowen will be introduced to Tahlequah on Monday, Aug. 18 with an appearance on the RiverHawks Sports Nest podcast from Emery's Grill at 6 p.m.

DJ Shawn Solo and Captain William Morgan host the second episode of their fifth season in production. The duo will be joined again by Director of Athletics John Sisemore and the "Voice of the RiverHawks" Orry Phillips.

Bowen was hired in June and comes to Tahlequah from Concordia University Texas, where she was an assistant coach for one season. Bowen previously served as head coach for four seasons at Houston Christian High School. She also served as an assistant coach for two years at the Kinkaid School (Houston, Texas).

Bowen's playing career culminated in four seasons at Tulsa, where set records for the most runners picked off both in a single season and in her career, achievements that stand in both the program's history and Conference USA. Bowen appeared in 217 games and started in 209 contests, playing on three teams that reached the NCAA Regionals (2011, 2012, 2013).
