Men's Soccer opens home slate with St. Edward's and Dallas Baptist

TAHLEQUAH – Following four road matches to start the season and downing a ranked Midwestern State squad on Saturday, NSU men's soccer returns home to DeLoache Field to host St. Edward's (Texas) this Thursday evening. 

The RiverHawks (2-1-1) will remain at home to close out non-conference play on Saturday with Dallas Baptist.

Goalkeeper Cameron McColloch has one goal allowed in 305 minutes and two consecutive shutouts for NSU.  Carter Adams leads the RiverHawks with two goals and was credited with the match winner at Lubbock Christian.

History with the Hilltoppers
- NSU is 5-7-2 all-time against St Edward's, the last match up being a 3-1 loss on the road last season.
- Saturday's match is the first time St. Edward's has come to visit Tahlequah since 2011.

Scouting the Hilltoppers
- SEU has two wins and two draws, with one of those draws being a 3-3 result to No. 9 Fort Lewis College.
- Graduate forward Arthur Souza is favored to be the Lone Star Conference's Offensive Player of the Year by the coaches this season, having all-LSC honors last year and 8 goals in conference play.

History with the Patriots
- Since the first meetup in 2022, NSU is 1-0-2 against Dallas Baptist, that one win being a 4-0 home result two years ago.

Scouting the Patriots
- DBU is 2-1 so far, having wins against Colorado Christian and UC Colorado Springs.
- The Patriots are picked by LSC's coaches and media to finish fourth this year, just behind NSU's previous opponent, St. Edwards. They are headlined by defender Evan Lupo, a recipient of 2nd All-LSC team honors in 2024.
