NEWTON, Kan. — Northeastern State shot a 317 to rank seventh across an 11-team field through one round at the Newman Invitational on Monday.
The RiverHawks sit seven strokes back of a tie for fourth place between Arkansas-Monticello and Southwestern Oklahoma State (310). Missouri Western leads the field with a 298 with Tuesday's action left to play.
Boh Greenwood is tied for ninth individually after shooting a 75. She sits only two strokes back from a tie for fifth and seven back of the lead with one round left.
Maria Ruiz landed a 79 to finish Monday in a tie for 19th. Laci Fravert was just a stroke back with an 80. Talya Samir shot an 83 and Laia Llorens landed an 88 to round out NSU's efforts across the 66-player field.
The tournament concludes tomorrow with its final round.
