NEWTON, Kan. -- Northeastern State finished out Tuesday's action at the Newman Jet Invitation in ninth place across an 11-team field, closing the event with a score of 640 (317-323).
The RiverHawks dropped two spots in the rankings with their second round score. Missouri Western would take the win with a 596 (298-298) over the two-round tournament.
Boh Greenwood would lead NSU individually and finished in a tie for 15th with a two-day score of 155 (75-80). Talya Samir would land inside the top 30 with a 159 (83-76), finding a seven-stroke improvement from the previous day.
Maria Ruiz finished with a 161 (79-82).
Laci Fravert closed the event with a 165 (80-85), while
Laia Llorens finished with a score of 178 (88-90).
The RiverHawks return to the course in Warrensburg, Mo. on Oct. 13 for the UCM Invitational.
