TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Northeastern State women's tennis claimed 11 wins in its season debut Friday at the Rumble by the River V.

Camila de Michele and Carla Alvarez Perez earned a straight-set doubles win over Central Oklahoma, while Laura Mertens and Renata Morales pulled out a 7-6 (7) tiebreaker against Southeastern Oklahoma.

In singles play, the RiverHawks swept Arkansas-Fort Smith in four matches and posted a 4-2 advantage over Ouachita Baptist.

The Rumble by the River continues Saturday at 9 a.m.
