Match Preview — RiverHawks vs. Wyoming Cowgirls
Tuesday, January 20, 2026 • Broken Arrow, Okla. • 6 p.m.

The Northeastern State University RiverHawks women's tennis team will take on the Wyoming Cowgirls in a unique early-season matchup on Tuesday, January 20 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The contest is scheduled as an exhibition for the RiverHawks but will count as an official match for Wyoming as they begin their 2026 spring slate.

RiverHawks Perspective:
  • NSU will use this high-level matchup as an early test in its 2026 season, gaining valuable experience against Division I competition.
  • The RiverHawks enter the spring with a notably young roster, featuring eight players in their first two collegiate seasons
Wyoming Cowgirls Outlook:
  • The Cowgirls are coming off their opening weekend of competition in the Sooner State, including matches at the Tulsa Hurricane Invitational.
  • Wyoming returns several key contributors from 2025, including multiple All-Mountain West honorees, and enters this match with competitive momentum.
History Between the Programs: The two teams last met on January 23, 2022, with Wyoming winning 6-1 in a neutral-site match at Indian Springs CC in Broken Arrow — a matchup that was also considered an exhibition for NSU at the time.
