TAHLEQUAH — Northeastern State dropped a three-set battle (25-22, 25-13, 25-22) to Pittsburg State on Saturday.
The RiverHawks (1-18, 0-8 MIAA) logged the team's highest single-set point total since Sept. 18 with 22 rallies won in the first and third sets in the defeat to the Gorillas (14-6, 2-4 MIAA).
Poliana Lazarini and
Simeon Paradiso tied for the team lead with 10 kills, while
Paige Miller added eight in the effort.
Defensively, Paradiso led with 11 digs, just two off from her season high. Lazarini added seven in the loss.
The RiverHawks return to the road, facing Newman on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m.
