JOPLIN, Mo. -- Northeastern State dropped a Friday evening contest against Missouri Southern in a 1-0 result.
The RiverHawks (6-4-2, 2-3-1 MIAA) recorded 22 shot attempts in the loss, including nine shots on-goal. 14 of the team's tries occurred in the second period, but none connected to counter a 62nd-minute goal from the Lions (3-5-3, 2-2-2 MIAA).
For NSU, 10 different players mustered attempts against the Lions, including seven with at least two shots taken. On the opposite side of the pitch,
Juliette Langlet put together a valiant effort at the goalkeeper spot, logging a career-high 11 saves on a night where the hosts recorded 24 shots overall.
The RiverHawks continue the road trip by facing Central Missouri in Warrensburg on Sunday at 1 p.m.
