Men's Soccer to host Fort Hays State Thursday, travels to Crimson Storm Saturday

Northeastern State men's soccer will play at home against Fort Hays State this Thursday, then travel to Bethany on Saturday to try for a season sweep of Southern Nazarene.

The RiverHawks (4-7-1, 3-3-1 GAC/MIAA) beat Newman 3-1 on Saturday and now hold a one-point lead for fourth place in the league. NSU trails Rogers State and Southern Nazarene by three points, as both teams are tied for second. Carter Adams and Harry Tremblez are tied for second in the GAC/MIAA with four goals each.

Fort Hays State (8-2-3, 6-0-1 GAC/MIAA) leads the league by six points and beat the RiverHawks 2-1 earlier this fall in Hays. The Tigers have only allowed seven goals this season and have scored first in ten games. The RiverHawks lead the home series 6-5-5.

Southern Nazarene (7-4-1, 4-2-1 GAC/MIAA) will play at Ouachita Baptist before hosting the RiverHawks. The Crimson Storm are second in the GAC/MIAA with 175 shots and, like NSU, allow about 1.5 goals per match. SNU leads the home series against Northeastern State 19-9-1.

Both games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
