KEARNEY, Neb. – Northeastern State volleyball fell to No. 6 Nebraska-Kearney 3-0 Friday night, dropping sets 25-8, 25-13 and 25-14 at the H&S Center.
The RiverHawks were led offensively by
Lanie Brown, who finished with six kills while hitting .500.
Ashlyn Tag and
Simeon Paradiso added five kills apiece.
Sydney Dunkleberger recorded 14 assists and six digs for Northeastern State, while
Cailey Grinstead and
Poliana Lazarini each had six digs. Lazarini also served an ace.
Northeastern State finished with 23 kills and 42 digs. The RiverHawks hit minus-.042 as a team and recorded three total blocks.
Nebraska-Kearney, ranked No. 6, hit .351 and had 40 kills. Addison Budke led the Lopers with 10 kills, while Madeline Lamb added seven.
Northeastern State falls to 1-15 overall and 0-5 in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play.
The RiverHawks return to action Saturday at 2 p.m. at Fort Hays State.
