TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State women's soccer extended its winning streak to three matches Friday, defeating Rogers State 1-0 at DeLoache Field.
Mya lynn Tran scored the game's only goal in the 18th minute, converting a pass from
Hannah Anderson to give the RiverHawks an early lead.
Northeastern State's defense held Rogers State scoreless the rest of the way, while goalkeeper
Juliette Langlet made six saves to record the shutout.
The RiverHawks finished with 13 shots, including four on goal, while Rogers State had 13 shots and put six on target.
The victory marked Northeastern State's third consecutive win over Rogers State and the third straight shutout in the series. It was also the RiverHawks' fifth shutout of the season.
Northeastern State improves to 6-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in MIAA play. Rogers State falls to 4-3-2 overall and 2-2-0 in conference play.
The RiverHawks return to action Friday when they travel to Joplin for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
