NSU Wrestling Set for Historic First Home Dual Event

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State men's and women's wrestling will make history Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the NSU Event Center, hosting their first home dual event in program history.

The historic night will feature NSU competing against Murray State and Southeast Community College, with competition beginning at 4 p.m. between MSC and SCC before the RiverHawks hit the mat at 6 p.m. against Murray State.

Excitement surrounding the inaugural season continues to build across the state. More than 500 high school wrestlers from across Oklahoma have already preregistered to attend the event, creating what is expected to be a memorable atmosphere for the first collegiate wrestling duals hosted by Northeastern State.

As part of the celebration, all high school students will receive free admission to the Nov. 4 event.

The dual marks another milestone in the launch of Northeastern State's men's and women's wrestling programs. Both programs are competing in their inaugural seasons in 2026-27, with NSU Women's Wrestling making additional history as Oklahoma's first NCAA women's wrestling program.
