Women's Soccer vistis Missouri Southern and Central Missouri

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State women's soccer heads on the road this weekend for MIAA matches at Missouri Southern on Friday and then Central Missouri on Sunday.

The RiverHawks (6-3-2, 2-2-1 MIAA) ended a three-match scoreless run with a 1-0 home victory last Friday against Rogers State. NSU has allowed just six goals this season, the fourth-fewest among MIAA teams. Much of the success has come from the goalkeeper, with NSU third overall in the MIAA, stopping 6.18 shots on goal per game. Juliette Langlet leads the MIAA in saves per game and is second in save percentage (.917).

Missouri Southern (2-5-3, 1-2-2 MIAA) finished a four-match road trip and will play its fourth home game of the season on Friday. The Lions gave up four goals to the RiverHawks in the early meeting this fall in Tahlequah but have allowed just two goals in the last four contests. Northeastern State leads the overall series 24-3-1 and has won the last nine meetings between the two programs.

Central Missouri (9-1-1, 4-0-1 MIAA) dropped off the national top-25 poll after a 1-1 draw last weekend with Northwest Missouri. The Jennies lead the MIAA with 2.7 goals per match and are second with 0.27 goals allowed per match. Home matches have been rare for UCM, with the Jennies playing just one in twelve matches. Central Missouri leads the overall series 16-2-2 over NSU and is 8-2-1 when hosting.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, with Sunday's match at 1 p.m.
