PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Due to Tropical Storm Isaias's expected landfall, officials from Northeastern State University and the University of West Florida have canceled Saturday's football game.

Isaias is projected to strengthen into a hurricane Thursday and make landfall early Saturday morning. The Northeastern State football team was scheduled to arrive in Pensacola on Friday.

The two programs will not have a makeup date in the 2026 season, and the RiverHawks are idle this weekend.

Northeastern State's next football game is scheduled for Oct. 17, when they will host William Jewell at noon.
