TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State will host Newman this Saturday for men's soccer action at DeLoache Field as they enter the third of a four-match homestand.

The RiverHawks (3-7-1, 2-3-1 GAC/MIAA) picked up a 2-1 win over Harding last week and now have a one-point lead for fourth place in the league standings. Ouachita Baptist and Newman are just outside the playoff spots as the postseason tournament approaches in early November. Carter Adams leads NSU with 11 points and scored in last Saturday's win over Harding.

Newman (3-9, 2-4 GAC/MIAA) visits Tahlequah after losing 4-0 to Fort Hays State on Thursday. The Jets have given up 23 goals this season, the second-most in the GAC/MIAA, and average 13.5 shots per game.

The last two times these teams played in Tahlequah, the matches ended in 1-1 draws. Northeastern State now leads the series against the Jets, 20-13-4.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday.
