GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Northeastern State used a pair of four-run innings to pull away from Spring Hill and remain unbeaten with a 10-6 win Saturday morning at the Gulf Shores Invitational.
The RiverHawks (3-0) struck first with two runs in the opening inning and answered Spring Hill's four-run third with four of their own in the bottom half. Northeastern State added another four-run frame in the fourth inning to create separation and never looked back.
Korynn Tindel led the offensive charge, finishing 3-for-3 with three RBI, a double and a sacrifice fly.
Madison Nance went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, while
Annsleigh Morris delivered a key swing with a two-run home run in the third inning and later added an RBI double as part of a 2-for-4 day with three RBI.
Mia Sarwinski set the tone at the top of the lineup, reaching base four times, scoring three runs and stealing two bases.
Mattison Hamilton added a pair of hits, including an RBI double, and crossed the plate twice as Northeastern State finished with 14 hits.
In the circle,
