NSU Softball Returns to Tahlequah for DII Showdown

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State Softball is set to make its local season debut this week at the Cherokee Nation Division II Festival, hosted by the City of Tahlequah at the Anthis-Brennan Family Sports Complex, running Feb. 12–15.

More than 25 games are scheduled during the festival, with Northeastern State featured in five matchups. Although the games will be played in Tahlequah, this event is not hosted by NSU and is not included in the NSU season ticket package. Tickets can be purchased at the gate from event personnel.

Here's how the RiverHawks' lineup shakes out:
  • Thursday, 12 p.m. – vs. East Central
  • Friday, 1:30 p.m. – vs. Arkansas-Monticello
  • Friday, 4 p.m. – vs. Oklahoma Baptist
  • Saturday, 11 a.m. – vs. Harding
  • Saturday, 4 p.m. – vs. Southeastern Oklahoma
Heading into the weekend, NSU holds a 6–2 record, including three wins over teams ranked or receiving votes in the NFCA Top-25 poll.

Leading the charge is Korynn Tindel, who's already racked up seven doubles and 14 RBIs through the first eight games.
