The RiverHawks (2-2) opened by claiming doubles play with a pair of 6-3 victories in the No. 2 and No. 3 slots. In singles action,
Sofia Kotliarova earned a win in No. 2 singles across straight sets. NSU would also earn two-set victories in No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles competition, with
Laura Mertens,
Carla Alvarez Perez and
Lucia Bontempo adding to Friday's win with their singles victories.
"We only had about two hours of rest [after the early match against UT Dallas]. We came out strong with a good doubles point and were able to take care of business with three fairly quick singles wins to clinch," head tennis coach
Tim McLane said.
The RiverHawks conclude the week with a matchup against Western New Mexico in Dallas tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
