SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Northeastern State captured its first individual medalist honor of the season as
Nathan Biais claimed the title at the Men's Rattler Invitational, marking the program's first medalist finish at the event since Brad Risenhoover in 2005.
Biais paced the 87-player field with a 4-under-par 212, carding rounds of 72-72-68 at The Dominion Country Club. The junior closed the tournament with a 4-under 68 in the final round to secure a one-shot victory over Midwestern State's Ryan Griff (213) .
As a team, the RiverHawks finished fourth overall with an 885 (299-295-291), improving their score in each round of the 54-hole event . Northeastern State's finish included head-to-head victories over No. 11 Dallas Baptist and No. 17 UT Permian Basin in a competitive 16-team field.
Ian Wilcoxen turned in a top-10 performance, tying for 10th at 4-over 220 (72-75-73).
Will Livermore tied for 53rd at 13-over 229, while
Carson Scrymgeour (230) and
Juan Vergel (232) completed the RiverHawks' lineup.
Midwestern State claimed the team championship with an 864, followed by St. Mary's (877) and Cameron (878) .
The individual victory is NSU's first of the 2025-26 season and represents the program's first Rattler Invitational medalist in 21 years, continuing a strong spring start for the RiverHawks.
Northeastern State will be off for the next month before playing in the Arkansas Intercollegiate on March 23-24.
