KANSAS CITY, Mo. – James Edley, a sophomore for Northeastern State, earned Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week South Division honors on Wednesday.

Edley delivered a perfect 4-0 performance during the RiverHawks' trip to Texas, securing No. 1 singles victories against UT Dallas and UT Permian Basin.  His dominant showing helped propel NSU to its first dual-match victories since the program's revival over the weekend.

The RiverHawks now sit at 2-2 to open the season and will make their home spring debut on Feb. 25 against Oklahoma Wesleyan at 2 p.m.
