TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State wraps up its seven-game homestand Tuesday afternoon with a 2 p.m. non-conference matchup against Oklahoma Baptist.

The RiverHawks (4-8) showed they can hang with strong competition last weekend, taking a 3-1 lead into the ninth inning against No. 5 Central Missouri on Saturday and out-hitting the Mules in Friday's contest. Xavier Sanchez went 7-for-11 at the plate during the series and is batting .500 on the season. Klete Finley has recorded a hit in 10 consecutive games played and has tallied eight extra-base hits this spring.

Oklahoma Baptist (4-8) was swept at home by Southern Arkansas in its Great American Conference opening series and is 1-2 against MIAA opponents this season, including a 10-0, eight-inning victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith. The Bison are 0-4 on the road and are allowing nearly eight runs per game.

Northeastern State has dropped its last five meetings with Oklahoma Baptist and trails the all-time series 68-28.
