TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State Softball returns to the diamond Saturday for a non-conference doubleheader against Missouri S&T.
The RiverHawks (10-7) ride a three-game winning streak into the matchup after sweeping East Central in a midweek showdown in Ada. NSU will look to reverse its recent home-field struggles, having dropped four of five games earlier this month at the City of Tahlequah softball fields.
Korynn Tindel has been on a tear, recording four consecutive multi-hit games and blasting four home runs over the past week. The junior also made her presence felt in the circle at East Central, earning both a win and a save against the Tigers.
Missouri S&T (10-8) enters the weekend looking to snap a five-game skid. The Miners most recently fell to Rogers State, suffering 4-0 and 4-3 losses to the Hillcats on Wednesday. Infielder Claire Lopez paces S&T with a .448 batting average and nine stolen bases this season.
NSU holds a 9-3 edge in the all-time series, including a 10-6 victory last season in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
