TAHLEQUAH, Okla. –  After a narrow season-opening loss, Northeastern State will look to bounce back when it hosts Upper Iowa in a three-game non conference baseball series beginning Friday at Rousey Field.

First pitch is set for 1 p.m. each day through Sunday, Feb. 8.

The RiverHawks (0-1) dropped a 9–8 heartbreaker to Southeastern Oklahoma on Tuesday despite eight early runs and a strong debut from newcomer Stephen Osborne, who led the RiverHawks at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three RBI.

The Peacocks enter the new campaign looking for something to prove after being picked ninth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason poll.  Upper Iowa went 21-28 last season and 15-17 in GLVC play.

This weekend marks the first-ever meeting between the programs.
