Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at Hardscrabble Invitational

FORT SMITH, Ark. -- Northeastern State battled through a challenging three rounds at the Hardscrabble Invitational, finishing ninth overall with a team score of 978 (322-332-324) on Tuesday at Hardscrabble Country Club.

The RiverHawks showed flashes of scoring ability, carding 16 birdies across the tournament, but struggled to maintain consistency. NSU recorded 110 bogeys and 51 double bogeys or worse, the third-highest total in the field, which ultimately proved costly in the final standings.

Jessica Parker led the way for Northeastern State, tying for 10th at 233 (+23). Parker opened with a 74 and remained steady throughout the event to secure the team's top finish.

Talya Samir added a tie for 25th at 238 (+28), while Laia Llorens finished tied for 35th at 242 (+32). Laci Fravert (72nd, 272) and Kanynn Kaseca (74th, 279) rounded out the RiverHawks' lineup.

NSU's best round came in the opening 18 holes, but the team was unable to regain that momentum over the final two days.

Northeastern State will return to action on April 3-4 at the Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Arizona, the team's final regular-season tournament before postseason play.
