RiverHawks Sit 10th After Two Rounds at Hardscrabble Invitational

FORT SMITH, Ark. -- Northeastern State sits in 10th place after two rounds of the Hardscrabble Invitational, carding a 36-hole total of 654 on Monday at Hardscrabble Country Club.

The RiverHawks opened with a 322 before slipping to a 332 in the second round on the par-70, 5,988-yard layout.

Jessica Parker paced Northeastern State, finishing the day tied for eighth at 11-over 151. Parker was steady throughout the tournament and shared the lead in scoring average on par-3 holes, a key factor in keeping the RiverHawks competitive in a deep field.

Talya Samir added a 36-hole total of 159 to sit 28th overall and led the team with 21 pars across the first two rounds, highlighting her consistency on a challenging course.

Laia Llorens followed at 163, while Kanynn Kaseca (186) and Laci Fravert (188) rounded out the scoring for Northeastern State.

Arkansas Tech leads the team standings at 603, holding a narrow edge over Midwestern State heading into the final round.

Northeastern State will look to make a final push up the leaderboard when play resumes Tuesday morning. The RiverHawks are scheduled to close out the tournament with an 8:30 a.m. start.
