JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Northeastern State recorded a score of 311 during the opening day and round of action at the MIAA Men's Golf Championship on Monday, sitting in 10th as a result.
Nathan Biais ranks inside the top ten among individuals, tying for ninth alongside five other competitors with a 74. Biais tied for fifth on par 4 holes, finishing even with four other players.
Juan Vergel is two strokes back of Biais with a 76.
Ian Wilcoxen produced an 80, with
Mateo Castro not far behind with an 81.
Cole Waymire carded a 92, respectively.
As a team, the Riverhawks sit a stroke back from ninth-place Arkansas-Fort Smith (310) and two away from Rogers State (309) in eighth.Â
The tournament continues with the middle round tomorrow from Jefferson City Country Club.
