DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Northeastern State University Cheer claimed a third-place finish in the Intermediate Coed Division II Finals competition at the National Cheer Association National Championships.
The RiverHawks earned a score of 92.05 with their routine, finishing just behind Saginaw Valley State, and were 0.11 behind Lubbock Christian, who took second place.
NSU earned a raw score of 83.63, with a 0.25 deduction, and then added a performance score of 92.68 to create an event score of 92.05.
25 teams competed in NSU's category, which included two Oklahoma programs and two from the MIAA.
The NCA College National Championships pit the top collegiate cheerleading teams from across the country in seven different categories to compete for national championships. The championships themselves take place in Daytona Beach at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.
