TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State softball travels to No. 15 Oklahoma Christian on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup in its lone game of the week.
The RiverHawks (26-19) will be playing their fifth consecutive game against a ranked opponent and their 11th of the season. One more win would match their highest total against NCAA Division II competition over the past three seasons.
Jensyn Elder has made 20 starts in the circle this season and holds a team-best 3.17 ERA.
Mattison Hamilton leads the offense with a .362 batting average and has added 11 doubles.
Oklahoma Christian (36-11) enters on a three-game winning streak and will be playing its final non-conference game of the season. The Eagles swept a doubleheader at UT Tyler on Sunday, a team NSU faced earlier this season.
Northeastern State trails the all-time series 6-3. Tuesday's matchup will be the first meeting between the programs since 2022. As NCAA Division II members, the teams have met three times. NSU's last win in the series came in 1995.
First pitch in Oklahoma City is scheduled for 5 p.m. and will be streamed on FloSports.
