KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Northeastern State's Alexander Edley was named the MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis South Division Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Edley posted a 4-0 record for the RiverHawks during the final week of the regular season. The sophomore earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Rockhurst's Alexi Khamrotau and followed with a 6-3, 7-5 win against Ouachita Baptist's Moritz Buss at No. 2 singles.

In doubles play, Edley added a pair of wins on the top court, teaming up for 7-5 and 6-4 victories.

He closed the regular season on a four-match winning streak in both singles and doubles competition.
