TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State returns home to face Fort Hays State on Thursday at 1 p.m. in continued MIAA action. Thursday's event marks Courtside Canines day at the NSU Tennis Complex. Fans are invited to bring their dogs to the venue as part of the festivities.

The RiverHawks (8-6, 1-2 MIAA) look to get back on the winning side of conference play after a pair of league losses last week on the road to Northwest Missouri (5-2) and MoWest (6-1). Daisy Barrow was a bright spot in singles competition, winning both matches last week to extend her current winning streak to three. The freshman has also won nine of her last ten singles encounters. Lucia Bontempo also earned a singles win last week, picking up a victory on court six against the Bearcats.

As a team, the RiverHawks seek their fifth home victory for the season. Across the all-time series with FHSU (8-4, 0-2 MIAA), the RiverHawks are unbeaten (12-0), claiming five home decisions in the process.

The Tigers enter the week in search of their first MIAA victory of the season after dropping matches last week to Northwest Missouri (7-0) and Emporia State (6-1). The loss to the Hornets snapped a four-match win streak on the road to begin the campaign. In a stretch that dates back to 2014, the Tigers have lost 43 of their last 45 true road MIAA matches. Before they face NSU on Thursday, the Tigers battle Washburn in Topeka, Kan. on Wednesday.
