TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State's
Jessica Parker will compete in the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Central Regional beginning Monday at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Parker earned one of six individual selections to the three-day event following a strong spring season. The junior captured the MIAA individual championship last week, becoming the third golfer in program history to win the title and the fourth overall occurrence for Northeastern State.
Her selection marks a return to the NCAA postseason for the RiverHawks after a one-year absence. It is the first time since 2009 that Northeastern State did not have a representative in the regional field.
Parker will compete for one of two individual qualifying spots to advance to the NCAA Championships. The last RiverHawk to advance as an individual was Yasmin Hang, who won the Central Regional in 2023.
Although Northeastern State competed at St. Joseph Country Club earlier in the season, Parker did not participate after missing the first half of the schedule. She has since posted a 75.6 scoring average with four top-10 finishes this spring and enters the regional ranked No. 11 in the region.
Individual play is scheduled to begin Monday at 8 a.m.
