ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Northeastern State's Jessica Parker opened play at the NCAA Central Regional on Monday with an 85 at St. Joseph Country Club.

Competing as an individual, Parker was in the first group off the tee and faced a challenging start to the round. The senior shot 7-over on the front nine and followed with a 6-over back nine, finishing without a birdie and recording seven pars.

The round marked Parker's highest score of the season as she looks to regroup heading into the final two rounds of the tournament.

With the regional format reversing pairings for Tuesday's second round, Parker will tee off in the final group at 1:10 p.m.
