Elder earns All-MIAA Honorable Mention

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Jensyn Elder received an Honorable Mention selection from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) as part of the conference's postseason awards, announced Tuesday. She becomes the first All-MIAA selection of the Cassidy Bowen era.

Elder contributed to a majority of the team's 28 regular season wins, earning a team-high 12 victories in the circle along with three saves. In her first season with the program, Elder held opposing batters to a .238 average — the lowest for an NSU pitcher with at least 23 starts since 2016. Meanwhile, her 144.2 innings pitched mark the most for an NSU newcomer since 2018.
