Parker Finishes 29th at NCAA Central Regional

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Northeastern State's Jessica Parker closed her postseason run Wednesday with a strong final round at the NCAA Central Regional, finishing tied for 29th at St. Joseph Country Club.

Parker rebounded for the second consecutive day on the leaderboard, carding a 4-over-par 76 in the final round, which tied for the 10th-lowest score of the day. The senior climbed 26 spots in the standings, the third-largest jump among the field, to finish the three-round tournament with a 238.

After opening the regional with an 85, Parker was unable to fully recover but finished the event on a high note. She played the final six holes at 1-under par and recorded a birdie on No. 17 while totaling nine pars during the round.

Parker competed as an individual after winning the MIAA Championship earlier this spring, becoming Northeastern State's latest conference medalist.

Southeastern Oklahoma State's Carley Button and Henderson State's Lily Nelson secured the two individual qualifying spots for the upcoming NCAA Championships.
