KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Northeastern State softball team had six student-athletes placed on the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association's Honor Roll on Thursday.

Among those named are: Charlea Cochran, Lauryn Heinle, Madison Nance, Jersey Retzloff, Gracie Turner, and Korynn Tindel.

To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

Cochran collected her second MIAA Academic Excellence honor for maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA.

Freshmen and newcomers were not included and will be announced later this summer.
