TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State University Athletics has announced its promotions and themes for the RiverHawks' four home football games at Gable Field at
Doc Wadley Stadium during the 2026 season.
The home schedule features Community Day, Homecoming, the Indigenous Peoples' Game and Pink Out, and a combined Senior Day and Service Appreciation Game.
Community Day
Friday, August 28 | 6 p.m.
NSU vs. Delta State

NSU Athletics will open its home schedule with Community Day on Friday, August 28.
Area youth sports teams are invited to be part of the game-day experience. Any youth athlete wearing their team jersey or uniform will receive free general admission and have the opportunity to access the sideline during pregame team warm-ups.
Eligible youth athletes should claim their complimentary ticket at the home ticket booth before checking in at the South End Zone field access for pregame sideline admission.
Chamber Choice cardholders and City of Tahlequah employees will also receive one complimentary general admission ticket by presenting their Chamber Choice card or employee ID at the home ticket booth.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and help create a memorable Community Day atmosphere at
Doc Wadley Stadium.
Homecoming

NSU vs. UT Permian Basin

RiverHawk alumni, students, employees and friends will return to Tahlequah for NSU's annual Homecoming football game on Saturday, October 3. All current NSU Faculty & Staff will receive free general admission.
The game will serve as one of the signature events of Homecoming Week and will include traditional Homecoming festivities and recognitions.

Indigenous Peoples' Game and Pink Out

NSU vs. William Jewell

NSU Athletics will recognize Indigenous Peoples' Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Month when the RiverHawks host William Jewell on Saturday, October 17.
In recognition of Indigenous Peoples' Day, individuals presenting a tribal identification card or CDIB card will receive free general admission. Complimentary tickets must be claimed at the home ticket booth on game day.
The RiverHawks' players and coaches will also wear pink as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Additional cultural and breast cancer awareness recognitions will be incorporated throughout the game-day experience.
Senior Day and Service Appreciation Game

NSU will close its regular-season home schedule by recognizing the RiverHawks' senior class and honoring veterans, active-duty military personnel and first responders.
Veterans, military personnel and first responders will receive free general admission in appreciation of their service and sacrifice. Eligible guests may attend in uniform or present a valid military or service ID at the home ticket booth to receive their complimentary ticket.
Pregame festivities will include Senior Day activities and recognitions of local and regional veterans, military personnel and first responders.
The Landing
The Landing, NSU's official football tailgate area, will open four hours before kickoff for every home game. The Landing is located in the grass area between the NSU Event Center and X-Press Stop.
The Landing will open at the following times:
- Friday, August 28: 2 p.m.
- Saturday, October 3: 1 p.m.
- Saturday, October 17: 8 a.m.
- Saturday, November 14: 8 a.m.
Fans and participating groups are encouraged to review the
NSU Athletics Tailgate Policy before arriving.
Tickets and South End Zone VIP Access
Football season passes remain available for fans who want to secure their seats for all four home games. Single-game tickets will go on sale one week before each home event.
Tickets and season passes may be purchased through the
official NSU Athletics ticketing site.
Supporters can also join the Northeastern State Backers or QB Club to secure access to the South End Zone VIP Area. Membership information is available through the
Northeastern State Backers membership page.
South End Zone VIP guests must check in at the VIP entrance and present their digital vivenu pass to receive an admission wristband. Digital passes may be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for convenient game-day access.
Cashless Admission and Stadium Policies
NSU Athletics admission gates are now cashless. Fans purchasing single-game tickets are strongly encouraged to buy online in advance to save time upon arrival.
Credit cards, debit cards and tap-to-pay options, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, will be accepted at the admissions gate. Additional information is available in the

No outside food or beverages are permitted inside
Doc Wadley Stadium. Alcohol may be purchased and consumed only within the South End Zone VIP Area and Beer Garden. Guests must be 21 or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Please drink responsibly.
