TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State opens a 12-match GAC/MIAA schedule this week, where they will travel to Newman on Thursday, then Fort Hays State on Saturday.

The RiverHawks (1-4) will have a week off, with their most recent action at UT Dallas on Sept. 10.  Northeastern State fell 2-1, with the Comets scoring a go-ahead goal in the 67th minute. Carter Adams led NSU with two goals; both were scored on Sept. 5 against Oklahoma Christian and be was named GAC/MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for that effort. 

As a team, NSU is averaging 12 shots per game and 4.4 shots on goal. 

Northeastern State at Newman // Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.

History with the Jets
- The RiverHawks lead the overall series 20-12-4 and are 9-5 when facing the Jets on the road.
- Northeastern State has played Newman to a draw in the last two meetings in Tahlequah and has taken setbacks in its last two trips to Wichita.

Scouting the Jets
- Newman (1-5) has played its first six contests on the road and has been limited to four goals.
- The Jets enter GAC/MIAA play on a five-match skid after opening the season win at William Jewell.

History with the Tigers
- Fort Hays State holds a 21-9-7 advantage in the overall series.

Scouting the Tigers
- Fort Hays State (2-1-2) opened the season ranked No. 3 in the nation and has played to a draw in the last two contests. The Tigers had a match suspended in the second half at West Texas during the previous three matches. 
- Len Valkema leads FHSU with three goals and has led the offense in the last two matches, scoring against Fort Lewis and Lubbock Christian.
