NSU remains at No. 13 in D2Football.com Poll

TAHLEQUAH -- The Northeastern State University football team remained at No. 13 in the D2Football.com poll for the second consecutive week, the publication announced Monday.

Northeastern State moved to 3-0 to start the season for the first time since 1991 following a 31-24 overtime win at Truman State.  NSU now owns a 10-game winning streak that matches the 1991 team. It's the longest active winning streak in Oklahoma college football and the second-longest in Division II football.

The RiverHawks have been ranked by D2Football.com since the end of the 2025 season and have won their last nine games, the second-longest nationally behind last season's national champions, Ferris State.

NSU will travel to Greeley, Colorado, for a game Saturday at Northern Colorado, which competes in the Football Championship Subdivision of NCAA Division I. That will be the first of two straight games against FCS opponents for the RiverHawks, as they'll play at Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 26.
