TULSA, Okla. -- Northeastern State dominated the course on day one of the NSU Men's Golf Classic, holding a four-stroke lead after two rounds with a 554 (277-277) at Page Belcher Golf Course.

The RiverHawks lead Southern Arkansas and Northwestern Oklahoma State, who are tied for second with a 558. Like NSU, SAU logged identical scores (279-279) in each round, while NWOSU (287-271) found a 16-stroke improvement from the first to second rounds.  

Will Livermore leads SAU's Luke Cote and NSU's Ian Wilcoxen by one stroke, with Livermore carrying a 135 (67-68) into Tuesday, while Wilcoxen sits at 136 (68-68). The duo each recorded 12 birdies across the day, while Livermore recorded an eagle on hole nine in the second round.

David Albuja sits just outside the top 10 with a 142 (71-71), part of a seven-way tie for 14th. Braden Prestwood dropped six spots in the second round but still heads into the final round only two strokes behind Albuja with a 144 (71-73) and is tied for 26th.

Rounding out NSU's team contributors is Juan Vergel, who improved 16 spots on the player leaderboard after finishing with three-under-par 33 over the final nine holes. He enters Tuesday with a 145 (75-70) and is tied for 33rd.

Bliss Newton led the five golfers competing as individuals for NSU, logging a 143 (70-73) to tie for 21st among competitors.

Mateo Castro matched Prestwood's score with a 144 (71-73), while Carson Scrymgeour carded a 145 (70-75) to tie with Vergel and another individual competitor in Jesse Tandoy (75-70). Caleb Friesenhahn finished Monday with a 150 (73-77).

The event concludes Tuesday with the third and final round.
