Men's Soccer opens four match homestand on Wednesday

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State men's soccer opens a four-game homestand this Wednesday hosting Ouachita Baptist. Harding then visits DeLoache Field on Saturday.

The RiverHawks (2-6-1, 1-2-1 GAC/MIAA) rallied late in their last two matches, scoring twice in the final 15 minutes to earn a 3-3 draw against Southern Nazarene. On Saturday, Eduardo Matos kicked a rocket with less than three minutes left to edge Rogers State 2-1 on the road. Avelino Rosa scored in the last two matches. Carter Adams leads the league with 12 shots on goal and ranks third with 2.33 shots per game. The junior is tied for second overall with three goals this fall.

Ouachita (4-3-1, 1-2 GAC/MIAA) will play its third road match of the season. The Tigers rank second overall with .63 goals allowed per match, and Philip Bolk is tied for second with three goals. Northeastern State leads the series 25-3-2 and holds a 14-2-1 home record against OBU.

Harding (0-9, 0-3 GAC/MIAA) enters the week seeking its first win of the season. The Bisons are last in the league, allowing three goals per match and averaging 6.44 shots per game. NSU leads Harding 31-1 in the series and is 17-0 all-time at home.

Kickoff on Wednesday is scheduled for 6 p.m., and Saturday's start time is noon.
