TAHLEQUAH -- The Northeastern State University football team moved up six spots to No. 18 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll.

Northeastern State fell behind early but then scored 27 straight points and held Missouri S&T to less than 100 passing yards, winning 27-7 in Rolla.

The RiverHawks have now been ranked in the poll for two weeks in a row and are No. 13 in the D2Football.com Poll. NSU has won nine straight games, which is the second-longest streak in the country behind last year's national champions, Ferris State.

Northeastern State will visit Truman State this Saturday for a noon kickoff. It's the second game of their month-long road trip.
