NORTHEASTERN STATE – A returning letterwinner . . . has competed at one career event . . . fired a two-round total of 162 (79-83) to tie for 71st at the 2012 NSU Classic . . . named to the 2013 MIAA Academic Honor Roll . . . took a redshirt season as a true freshman.
 
Redshirt Freshman (2012-13) – Participated in his first-career tournament, the NSU Classic . . . shot a two-round total of 162 (79-83) to finish T-71 at the event . . . was a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
 
Freshman (2011-12) – Did not compete in his first year as a member of the RiverHawks and took a redshirt.
 
High School – Was an all-state golfer senior year at Cascia Hall . . . was named to the Tulsa World’s All-Metro Second Team both sophomore and junior years . . . won three Class 3A state team championships in high school, including golf (sophomore year), football (junior year) and basketball (sophomore year) . . . team finished runner up at the state championship junior year and third senior year.
 
Personal – Majoring in international business with an emphasis in marketing . . . son of Scott and Monica Varner . . . father, Scott, is NSU’s head men’s and women’s golf coach, and also NSU’s Strength and Conditioning Coordinator . . . born Sept. 18, 1992.
