NORTHEASTERN STATE – A returning squad member . . . has yet to appear in a game for NSU . . . played his first two collegiate seasons at Labette Community College before transferring to Cameron University for one year.
 
Senior (2016) – Suffered an injury in the preseason and sat out the year.
 
Cameron University (2015) – Made nine appearances on the mound in his lone season for CU in Lawton, Oklahoma . . . the Aggies compete at the NCAA Division II level and are members of the Lone Star Conference . . . compiled a 1-0 record and a 7.20 ERA in 10 innings pitched . . . fanned 11 batters, with seven coming against Angelo State in 3.2 frames . . . earned the win in a relief effort against Eastern New Mexico.
 
Labette Community College (2013-14) – Participated for two years at LCC in Parsons, Kansas . . . the Cardinals compete at the NJCAA Division I level and are members of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference . . . posted a 0-7 record and an 8.49 ERA in 71.0 IP . . . made 19 appearances on the mound and 15 starts for Labette.
 
High School – Was a three-year letterwinner at Charles Page High School . . . played both shortstop and pitcher for the Sandites . . . helped lead his team to a Regional Championship in 2011 and was a team captain.
 
Personal – Majoring in health and human performance . . . son of Greg Cordell and Kim Oppelt . . . born May 26, 1994.
