George Sanders is in his first season with the RiverHawks as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
A four-year letterwinner at Southwest Baptist University (Bolivar, Mo.), Sanders works with the NSU cornerbacks.
While at SBU, Sanders was a member of the 2016 squad that claimed a GLVC Co-Championship, and earned a berth into the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
Prior to arriving in Tahlequah, Sanders was an assistant coach at Briar Cliff University (Sioux City, Iowa).
A native of Houston, Texas, Sanders graduated from Chavez High School where he was an All-District 20-5A selection.
Sanders holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Fitness Management from Southwest Baptist.
He is the son of Sharon Jenkins and George Sanders.
