Luke Rayfield

Luke Rayfield is entering his first season as a graduate assistant with the RiverHawk football program. He is directly responsible for coaching the tight ends. He comes to Northeastern State after spending a season as a GA at Missouri University of Science and Technology under coach David Brown. He helped coach the defensive tackles and coached two All-GLVC performers in Jordan Pulou and Eddie Rascon. Rascon was also named a 2012 all-american honorable mention.

Rayfield began his collegiate playing career at Central Methodist University and completed his education as student assistant coach at Southeast Missouri State University. He was on the coaching staff when the Redhawks won the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Championship and competed in the NCAA D-I FCS playoffs for the first time in school history.

The Scott City, Mo., native graduated from Southeast in 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in education. He is pursuing his masters degree in kinesiology.
