Caleb Butler

Caleb Butler joined the NSU football staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2013 campaign. He will assist with the defensive line, with a focus on the defensive ends.

The Texas City, Texas, native was a four-year starter at center for Southwest Baptist University where he was under the tutelage of head coach Keith Allen. He was named All-MIAA Honorable Mention in 2012.

Butler played in 42 games and made 39 starts during his career with the Bearcats. He also blocked for former SBU quarterback Steve Gachette, who currently plays for the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League.

Butler graduated from Southwest Baptist in May 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in biology. He is currently working towards a masters degree in health and kinesiology at NSU. He is also the son of Patrick Butler and Alice Oberholtzer.
